If you haven’t been paying attention, Google is heavily invested in it’s Gemeni AI scraping tool and currently are testing it’s effectiveness by placing information decided relevant to a users search engine query, providing at the very top of the search engine results page (SERP’s) a sypnosis of what they’ve deemed as the authoritive response & answer due to their advanced scraping methods, deciphering datasets, patterns, signals to correlate a unique response!
Others would simply argue they are taking the data from it’s original source, reconfiguring it to bypass copyright laws , then producing its own format and essentially not directing organic trafffic onwards to a website.
Essentially one could label Google AI Overview a third party aggregator and perhaps not required by a true original search engine.
However it’s 2025 and we love everything the corporate evil beheamoths do , trying to cut us small folk out in favor of the larger than life companies —- BUT WE WILL NOT BE TAKEN DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT ..
